After the rain

It rained quite a lot today but cleared in time for a beautiful sunset.
I had planned to walk up the road towards the sea but Fudge had
other ideas and insisted on going in the opposite direction.

Unusual; after rain you would expect all of the strange and exotic smells of the seashore to be brought to the fore and for it to be irresistible to the nose of a Lab. I like the placement of the sun within the tree in this, and the clouds being off to the side like that; it speaks of the rain clearing, albeit too late for the sun to give any more than a brief burst of final warmth.
