I like the strong colours and lines here, both in subject and background. What I'd assume to be wisps of cloud top right and bottom left provide an outdoor context, making it clear that the sky rather than a painted wall forms the backdrop.

Well worth waiting for! That yellow is so beautiful against the blue.
