My Neck of the Woods

I nearly didn't get to take a fresh pic today.
Although it was a bank holiday here, I had to go into the office for a couple of hours.
It was nice and sunny when I left home this morning, after taking Fudge for a walk, so I foolishly thought I'd have lots of time for photography in the afternoon.
How wrong I was. The sky darkened and it was raining by the time I got home.
Light was fading fast when I spotted this cute scene.
A group of lambs were sheltering from the unseasonably cold weather with one ewe apparently keeping an eye on them.
I've added some more images to my St Patrick's Day Gallery

Very cute. I like the way the ewe's extended neck and the branch make a cradle-like "frame" to surround the lambs, almost as a metaphor for protection.
(I probably shouldn't mention that I had lamb steaks for dinner last night...)

Cute shot. They will need a step stool to reach those branches soon!

Such a peaceful scene. It appear none of them have a worry in the world.

She must be head of the early learning class...it amazes me when they have so much green picking yet they need to munch on a tough old piece of tree branch..ours do the same :)
