Street Light

This attractive streetlight is outside The Highlanes Gallery in Drogheda.
I'd hoped to have had time to see a photographer exhibition by Anthony Haughey
which is on show there when I was in Drogheda covering court today but the gallery was closed by the time the court finished.

Lots of visual interest here. I can climb the lamp post and reach the top of the chimney to the moon!

Some colours just work together, such as blues and golds. So it is here. I like the positioning of the moon as well, though as always it seems to shrink as soon as one points a camera at it; I'll bet that like me it seemed more prominent to you.
The old style architecture and lamp are well illustrated against the relative plain backdrop of the sky.

Wonderful ornamental lamp. Nice PoV and framing too! Too bad you missed the exhibit, but you did get a great lamp post photo! V
