Taking A Bow

The Carducci Quartet and Gordon Jones of the Hilliard Ensemble
who performed the world premier of Russian composer Anlexander Raskatov's new work 'Monk's Music' in St Nicholas Church, Dundalk, last night.
The concert was presented by the Louth Contemporary Musical Society which is headed by a husband and wife team committed to bringing the best of world classical music to venues in Co Louth.
The lighting was very poor and there's a lot of noise in this image unfortunately.

Still not bad for ISO 2500. The more important thing is that the light on their faces is good enough (no blow outs, no detail lost to shadow) and I think you've captured their expressions of satisfaction at their chance to perform.

You caught the perfect moment and did a good job with this under the circumstances. How nice that these people can bring such great groups to your neck of the woods!

I imagine it was a very enjoyable experience, although world premiers can be, um, challenging! A nice, warm, intimate feeling to this image.
