Point and Shoot

Cold, wet and miserable today.
A real point and shoot effort as these elegant old windows caught my
eye when I left the courthouse today.

It set me to wondering how old the building and how much it's seen. Obviously (from the patching of the cracks) it's needed some serious maintenance over the years but the shopfront itself looks in good nick. Between the street light attached to the building and the lights that would illuminate the shopfront it would probably make a most interesting nighttime subject... if one were inclined to venture in there on a wet and rainy night with a tripod, which would be above and beyond the call, I think.

They are beautiful old windows and I love the inclusion of the red. V

Great grab shot, those textures and shapes are superb.

It's so much fun to imagine the life behind the windows. The red at the bottom makes such a nice platform.

Nicely composed, and I love the bit of color in this old building. V.

You managed a well composed and exposed image in spite of the weather. I like the building, awining and windows in the rain. V.

Pretty red awning on the Bistro, and wonderful old windows above. It looks like the plaster has been repaired more than once!

It looks like the house has already been prettied up on the inside but also still has retained the old charm on the outside. Well seen!V

Looks like a dreary day but the bit of red brightens up the photo. The detail around the windows is lovely.
