The Bare Bones of Winter

The chill of winter matches the iciness which has gripped the hearts of
this community since the shooting dead of Garda Adrian Donohoe on Friday night.

Nicely done. I like the arrangement of the branches which almost seem to be forming a dome. The transition of the background from water to light sky to dark sky adds some interest, though having the majority of the branches against that thick, dark cloud makes for a very dramatic effect.
