A streak of pale light at dawn was as good as it got today although I've seen photos of dramatic sunrises from the west coast on the internet today.
Maybe my timing wasn't right but mornings are a rushed affair in our households so I just grabbed this while the porridge was in the microwave.
The remainder of the day was cold, grey and busy, with a parent/teacher meeting after work.
My son got good reports but I can't banish a touch of sadness as that will be the last ever parent/teacher meeting I attend as he's in his final year at school.
