Postcards is the first novel from the award winning author E. Annie Proulx.
It tells the story of Loyal Blood, on the run after accidentally murdering his girlfriend. As he makes his way across the American West, he occasionally sends postcards home, telling his family about his experiences. But he never leaves a return address and the correspondence is one-sided. His postcards and other letters which the family receive, mark the opening of each chapter in an often dark and bleak saga by a wonderful story-teller.
