One of my all time favourite books although it's probably more than twenty years since I last read it. I loved this story of Scarlett O'Hara and her sisters, the dashing Rhett Butler, and the loyal Melanie Wilkes. I loved her passion and determination, her fondness for billowing dresses and the wrong men. And I loved the film too which brought all the characters and the wonderful Tara to life, all against the backdrop of the American Civil War.

I can pick it up and read any passage and instantly be transported...your image depicts the moment when reality strikes, that life as Scarlet knew it is no longer there and it will take her feisty determination to get some of it back...well done, Mairéad
