It was the October Bank Holiday here and it proved a perfectly relaxing day. A nice lie-in (no dawn shots for me),
a leisurely lunch and then a drive across the mountains and into Omeath. Omeath is a seaside villages whose
fortunes have changed down the years. Once a popular spot with holiday makers from Northern Ireland, it has since
lost out to neighbouring Carlingford which has established itself as a trendier location with its medieval castles and
posh eateries. Omeath still has a certain charm though, with beautiful views across the Lough.
These three gulls were resting on the slipway, where high tides had washed the seaweed onto the railings.
