The old Priory, Carlingford
founded by the Dominicans in
1305 on the orders of Richard de Burgo.
Fell into disuse after the Dissolution of the
Monasteries in 1539 and was used by herring
fishermen as accommodation.

Lovely perspective with the avenue sweeping us up to the old priory...you've got some lovely colours here too, Mairead - the red (berries?) at right really accentuates the lovely lush greens of the other trees. Beautifully symmetric too...V
