Proleek Dolmen, Co Louth.

Dolmens are all that remain of ancient burial tombs
built by the Neolithic people, dating back to 3000BC.
Only the most important people were buried there as they
took hundreds of men many years to build. These standing
stones were once covered by a huge mound of earth, with
a small entrance.

Amazing these. When you think about what it took to construct them. Especially when food was harder to come by then and time needed to do what it takes to stay alive was dear.
