Yes the my Oly3000z does this, you'd have to check and see on other Oly's some don't do black/whiteboard -you really have to fiddle with exposure comp. and stuff to get them to turn out...but I like the effect it gives. And it's fun. No the screen doesn't black out, LOL, just the photographer, when you think you have a good pic, and then get pictures of your foot. It's shutter lag on the Oly, processing lag isn't to bad. In fact it does burst at lower res, I forget how many-seldom use that. Thanks Tom I really like doing this high contrast stuff, makes a person concentrate on composition.

Hi again Berri,
Wouldn't surprise me if they change back. Seems I've heard it's illegal for the trains Not to blow their whistle at all crossings for safty reasons. I think there are also speed limits set when going through town. But hey, what do I know? I'm just a Dork anyway!
By the way, I love this gallery. Is this the checker board function of an Olympus, or do you do this in photoshop? I haven't had my hands on an Oly yet, so I'm not sure what it does.
And the lag time we spoke about.. The 5700's screen went black! Is that the same with the Oly? That really drove me nuts! The first pic I tried taking.. I thought the camera had stopped functioning, and it seemed like time stood still. I'll never forget it.
Thanks, tom
