ST Bernards

I used the Tamron 19-35 f3.5-4.5 and the Olympus Wide Angle Extension WCON-08B (.8 wide angle) which on my Canon 10d/ 1.6 crop factor - gives about 24-45mm - I find no degradation in sharpness and very little CA, although flare can be a problem with no hood. I did only mild USM and perspective correction in Photoshop.

Had to chuckle when I read the comments.. This was one of the first shots within pbase I commented on, and I still like it today. And where has the time gone?

Hey Barri,
All I can say is, "WOW"... This and the long crop of the tree are my favorite 2 pics in your galleries, I think. The structure of the buidling, and lighting is wonderful on this shot. I guess it takes me back to days that seem gone in such a rushed world. Soitude and comfort, maybe it just brings thoughts of piece of mind. I love the warmth it has.
I'm trying to re-delvelope my eye after many years of laying the cameras aside. After working with film, I'm having to learn the digi-terms and overcome the (somehwhat burden) layers of menues. So I really appreciate a good catch!
Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work. I look forward to visiting often. What a beautiful area you have to photograph.

Tom, If you stop here again please repost. I lost your post (accidently deleted) and your Email. Was going to tell you how much I like the Canon, and how I appreciated your suggestions...but as per ususal pressed the wrong button and can't get it back. But thank you for "really looking" at my galleries. By the way I do think you were very correct about the crop, and rotation...now if I can find the original, LOL.
