Funny what's old here compared to other places, and it seems there's such little respect for it too. But, we've talked about it many times. Just always reminds me when I come back through and see these things. Not much of anything too old left here anymore.

Old is an understatement. Hope the impetus is towards restoration. It would be a shame to lose this.

Hey Tom
Yep they still are using it, man it looks pretty rusty, there was a pretty good sized ship going through (think it cleared the sides by about a foot). It almost looks like there was a shortage of paint when they built this, I don't see any at all on it. Thanks Tom.

I was going to ask, was this still in use. How'd I miss this one? lol
I haven't seen one of these in many years. It was always an impressive site to see when I was a kid. Nice shot, thanks for the memory.

Hi Mark
On the Manitowoc River, probably less than a mile from Lake Michigan...the day this was taken it was raised for a concrete company ship coming through..man the pilot guiding that ship had to be good. They had to back up and turn nearly 90 deg. and go though here, I don't think there was a foot or two on each side. Thanks much.

great picture barri, most people dont find interest or beauty in an old rusty bridge, you found both. wonderful!
