Ghost of the Prairie Wind

Many people, even from here, don't realize that Southern Wisconsin was basically a prairie land,
as close in time as 150 years ago.Roads acting as fire blocks took care of most of it,
since prairie needs constant re-burning to keep the forests out. After the roads, the farms eliminated the rest.
Some small restorations have occurred, but the Buffalo never came back.

Wonderful capture of the wind swept prairie environment. The mood is unmistakable. Great idea to use B&W. V
