Grave Of " Horse Thief" Left To Rest " Above" Ground!!!

Frank Watkin's Stole A Bunch Of The Town's Horses In 1903, then was " Dumb Enough " to come back in 1904 and " Shoot Up The Town". ( Three of his bullet holes are still in the roof of the Riverside Grocery Store to this day) As he slept in a stable , town's folks shot him as he lay . His grave is near Riverside on the old Riverside/ Omak highway..... Unmarked as seen by road.. The real " Wild West" at It's Best!!!!!!!

Monte, My great-grandpa's name was Frank Watkins. He wasn't a horse thief though and he lived in Illinois. Upside down horseshoe,hmmmmmmmm

Great find, Monte! I thought I'd tracked down just about every odd ball histerical site in Eastern Washington but it looks like you've uncovered another hidden gem. Time for a trip to the Okanogan...
