Griswold # 8 " Slant Logo" Skillet With Raised Heat Right

According to Griswold Company , this logo was used from about 1905 to 1920. Cast Iron Made is this period was top notch and nothing made today compares. Today's Cast Iron is like " Boat Anchors" compared to the stuff in the old days. Older cast iron is " Thinner Walled" and lighter, made more even than today's " Mostly overseas made junk cast iron. The # 8 skillet is a good " Dailey Driver" skillet. A # 8 Dutch Oven Lid will fit a # 8 skillet if you need a lid. Some skiilet's , like a # 13 sell for around 1,000 to 1,500 dollars.
