Grizzly Tracks In Bob Marshall near Rock Creek ( Aug. 1998)

The CDT run down Rocky Creek Off The Chinese Wall and heads toward Gates Park. Rocky Creek Is full of " Grizzly Sign". Dense and Brushy, but we avoided bumping into one... Black Bear Rear Feet Look a bit different and usually have a arch like we do. Also Grizzly tracks have a " Taper" to them like the one in photo. Lower 48 Grizzlies are smaller than than Alaskan Brown Bears by quite a bit. Sometimes it is hard to tell a small grizzley track from a large Black bear, but the tapered heel is a pointer with no arch.

other sizes: small medium large original auto
