No one lived a " Wilder" life than Ezra Meeker who guided hundreds over the Oregon Trail, then went to Skagway for the Gold Rush of 1898 and operated a store where he came back one year later with 18,000 dollars. He later retraced his Oregon Trail trip by auto in 1914. (Died in 1928 in a Seattle Hotel. Town Of Meeker Wash. is named after him.) Hard to top Erza!!
