This was another great climbing stove that was last sold by REI in 1978. ( Heavy to pack vs new MSR's spelled it's doom in USA) About 10,000 btu's at full blast which is roughly the same as a good MSR XGK, but lots heaver to pack... Still the " Newer" MSR pumps are total plastic junk and climbers always carry a spare MSR pump. The Phoebus is built like a "Tank" and no plastic here!!!
