Birth mother of the whisperlite. Only I think this stove may of been better. I have always been fond of the loud " Roarer Burner Plate " type stoves,,, ( LIke the old Sveas, Optimus 8R's, 111B's, Primus 71's ) etc. If you can " Talk " while your cooking and hear them,,, it's not hot or loud enough!!! Deems has two of these wonderful retro MSR stoves,, and this is one model " I " don't have,,,,,,
