October 12

Sugar Land, Texas

We are getting rain!!! So happy.
Here you see thousands of Grackles descending on the parking lot, to roost for the night.
I can't begin to explain how noisy it is. Every light pole, every tree, every powerline is covered with blackbirds.

Dramatic scene with the sky and flocks of birds. This looks like the end of the world so I'm glad it's actually welcome. V.

I had a shot last year for a PaD that had tens of thousands of grackles in a cloud over my home. It was deafening! yeah- nature is awesome.
