Bull Ant

This bloke is about 1 inch long. Any Australian who has been stung by one of these will tell you it HURTS. See the nippers? Big, and they deliver a very nasty load of formic acid. I will try to get closer one day but I will be very careful, because I have been stung a few times and I dont really want to again.
