March 3/04

Last night our camera club had an auction and I picked up my first reflector light! Did some experimenting tonight and settled on this shot. Unfortunately, my backdrop was drooping a bit! I have also uploaded second version of this one, after adding a curves adjustment layer - thought it looked kind of neat. Click next to see it.

I am looking for online sources for how to setup lights for taking shots such as these if anyone has some suggestions!

I like this, and the backdrop color is well matched.

Linda, I'm sure there are many webpages that could walk you through some lighting set-ups, but I recommend using the DPReview forums for some interactive support. There is a forum dedicated to lighting that is very useful. In fact, all the forums there are fantastic. Try www.dpreview.com Hope that helps you out! ~g

What a nice old teapot. Like this version better than the curve adj version.
