Continuing with my rediscovered passion for my manual lenses, I captured this image with the barely-used Tokina 28-85mm after having noticed the single red leaf on this rowan tree whilst messing about in the garden with my Carl Zeiss, which I was holding onto the camera in an attempt to get infinity focus (and I got it!). In order to achieve infinity focus, I had to remove the adaptor and hold the lens onto the body with my hand. This made focusing quite a difficuly maneouvre, since I am not blessed with three hands. I'll need to try to rig something up, because I really do like the CZ lens, and it would be nice to be able to use it more often. Blah-de-blah-de-blah. I was stuck in the house today busily redrawing graphs and tables for an article that is to be published in the journal I do some work for. Incredibly boring stuff, I'll readily admit, but at least it did provide me with an excuse for not going out on an excursion in the pouring rain. On second thoughts, I think I would have preferred to go out for a run than redraw graphs.
