This is an oldie. One that I took when Liam and I visited my sister (his aunt) on my childhood home, the Isle of Bute. I wasn't going to put an image up today... for the simple reason that I didn't actually take a photograph today (gasp... you heard right. I carried my camera and all my lenses into town with me, but I never once pressed the shutter release). It is nice to know that sometimes an image of yours inspires someone to do something that they hadn't previously thought about doing, or to go somewhere new. Well, today Gavin rang to let me know that my image of Kinpurney Hill had inspired him to cycle up to Newtyle and walk up to the folly at the top (the building that is shaped like a castle) and have a look at the strange looking tree alongside it. He stopped by my house to borrow my castle hunting map of the area and for a chat and a cup of coffee before we both headed off - he for Newtyle, me for Jessops! So, what goes around comes around. I inspire Gavin, and Zak inspires me with his homesick inducing images of the most beautiful of all Scotland's islands, Bute (well, I am biased - I'm from there!)
