Broughty Ferry Stu

Murder-polis at the barber's shop

13 August 2004

115.
Phew! What a scorcher. The weather doesn't seem to know whether it's going for a sh*te or a haircut (to use a colourful, and strangely appropriate, Scottish saying). Heavy rain on Monday, dull and overcast on Tuesday, torrential rain on Wednesday, cold and miserable on Thursday and almost tropical on Friday! Made the most of the sunshine by getting the bus to my car, taking the spare out and starting the long walk to Kwik-Fit. Luckily, a mother of one of Liam's friends passed us and gave us a lift. Changed that tyre, then had to go back to the car, change the wheel, drive to the house, get my discount card, go back to Kwik-Fit, get the spare wheel changed, pay the bill (£74 for two Goodyears), drive to Linda's work, get out to Broughty Ferry, drag Liam kicking and screaming into the barber's shop, go to the supermarket, then get back home and continue with the decorating. I did buy my tickets for Lisbon in September. I've not been there since February – the longest gap in the ten years I have been going to Lisbon – I'm usually there every month. Before that, though – tomorrow, in fact – we're off to Glasgow, just because we miss the place so much :-)

School for Liam next week? Ah well I suppose he has to put the Indie Rock career on hold a short while yet.

Talk about getting around, amazing you has time for a photo! This is a very warm and good feeling shot, I am curious about the "Uncle Sam" poster on the wall, can I assume it's a relic?

That's not a barber, it's, a, it's a HAIRDRESSER!

A photo going to be seen more than a few times in teh coming days I believe; I don't think Liam's downcast face has anything to do with the stylist's instruction to look down. Great shot, have fun in Glasgow.

What a day! Hope your evening was uneventful. My Liam doesn't like haircuts either! See his barber pic.

Sounds like your Liam, and Evans' Pooch have something in common. (not liking hair cuts!)
But then I think a lot of boys are like that.
Kewl photo.
Enjoy your trip to Glasgow.
