Rainbow Over Knoxville

This evening on my way home from work I had a strong feeling that the storm was going to open up and show a Rainbow over downtown Knoxville. I rushed in the house and grabbed my camera and tripod, and Abby, and we rushed downtown.

All the while chasing the edge of the storm. As I had expected the sky behind us was becoming clear and the low evening sun had come back out in a beautiful post rain orange. Infront of us was downtown and the storm directly overhead.

Just as we pulled into the parking garage on the edge of downtown the edge of the strom passed over us.

Then just as I had hoped the rainbow formed and I got my shot.

Oh how I wish I had a full fram body so I could have got this from edge to edge with my wide angle lens! I could have done a stitch but there wasn't time to setup my tripod before this wonderful moment went away.

Sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment rather than fumble with equipment.
