This came out just as I had "previsualized". I got up early this morning before sunrise to drive downtown and get a sunrise shot. I was hoping that I remembered correctly that the sun would be rising on the right side of the cityscape. When I got there I was worried that the building the sun is closest to would be blocking the sun till it cleared the top floor, but by then the good colors would have faded some. Since this is the only rooftop parking garage with this view it worked out good that the sun view was not blocked from this location.
I used Canon's software, Photostitch, that was bundled with the camera to stitch the four frames together.
Then in Photoshop 7 I darkened slightly with levels to make the foreground darker, But doing so caused a stitch seam to appear in the sky at the intersection of each frame. So I used the Healing Brush (control + J) to go over the seams and that took care of most of it.
