"That looks great now with the cap in place, I can't wait for the sails to go on. It really is great to see a building with a bit of history being put back rather than being demolished like all the ones we've lost on the island and it stands out on the Sheerness skyline like a beacon."

Sadly this building was badly damaged by fire in Jan 08.

Hi yes I feel the same about this building too much history being destroyed on the Isle of Sheppey this will be a landmark for Sheerness just like the windmill at Rye. Lets hope this is a new beginning for Sheerness to restore not demolish. Perhaps St Paul's Church will get a restoration project as well. Nice photo keep posting them. Julia McDougall
