My father is in the back row almost in the centre of the picture with the cap on. He played the euphonium or the double bass until we migrated in 1955.

MY BROTHER DAVID STOCKHAM IN THE FRONT MIDDLE ROW HE WENT ON TO PLAY ON THE ROYAL YEIGHT FOR EIGHT YEARS AND A MARINE FROM 14 TILL 55 HE ALSO RECORDED THE THUNDERBIRDS MUSIC IN 1974.

Hi Great site - I was in the band at that time - tenor horn. Became solo horn before I left to become an apprentice engineer in Derby. Len was a great band master and a superb teacher. Mr Williams then took over and we had some competition success. A highlight was leading the carnival.
