Cheyne Middle School - A block (the former Sir Thomas Cheyne) at the front, then the new B block (built early 90s), then C block, the old Lady Anne Cheyne school. As a pupil there during the transition from a boys' school to a mixed school, I wondered why it had a Tannoy system, pips etc... of course it used to be a secondary school back in the day!
Seagulls used to gather on the overhanging brickwork by that large double door in the middle. One day an unpopular kid was in the wrong place just as the gulls all took off - they got absolutely plastered. They weren't amused, even if everyone else was!
And in the autumn, those white walls would be covered with thousands of craneflies. You don't see that any more...

Was this the old Jefferson Road school, that turned into the middle school for boys? I think I attended here for two years from 1970.......amazing place, still had old ww2 air raid shelters in the school field.....
