This is an archive picture. I have built a new machine that I finished in Febuary and is fully functional now.
Here a picture of 2 generations. The upper tray is the chariot of my server which has an AMD XP 2800 processor with an AGP video board and a 4 channel raid controler for 8 hard drives. Note that this server has 11 harddrives (1 terrabyte mirrored) and I am about to rebuild him with 10 x 200 gigs drives and a 30 gigs for the OS.
The case in the bottom contains an Asus PCI X-press board with an AMD 3500 - 64 bit. The board can run dual video boards and the difference in power is quiete noticeable. Photoshop CS takes 6 seconds to open with the 64 bit processor while it took some 45 seconds with the 2800XP. Note that the OS runs on a 30 Gig 15000 rpm hi-speed S-ATA drive.
Both boards run on 1024mb Ram.
