Somewhere on the Tonto Trail, on my four day hike with the Purdue Outing Club. Only four of us on this trip. Note the brand new Kelty Serac pack, cut off jeans, and skinny 18yr old legs.

I read Colin Fletcher's hike thru GC, about this time. I did the two and half day down from the North Rim to the river, in 1972, that was tough, around late August/September. Probably kill me today.

Grand Canyon is so marvelous that every tourist fascinate photography.
beside its scenic beauty you can also opt for hiking activity.
