If I wanted to take the observatory to the next stage and make it capable of unattended operation then it needed to be bigger. The Solar capacity has been increased to 2 x 24 volt 190 watt panels and 2 x 24 volt 235 watt panels feeding a total of 600 amp hours at 24 volt battery storage. This will be barely enough to get me through the winter if I decide to use both telescopes.
