The quickest way to get to the precipice of Salt Wash's canyon---at least for the area I wanted to see---was to hike up the Delicate Arch Trail, a highway for the masses. Before reaching the arch, I turned off the trail and struck out cross-country, traveling on sand and sandstone to avoid the cryptobiotic soil. This gallery covers the hike on the trail only. |
