From the Amasa Back Trail, much of Jackson Hole appears to be flat, but very little of it is flat.
This toadstool rock stands on a gently-sloping plain. Watercourses are small and frequent: the edge
of one is visible at lower right. The colored markings on the bamboo stick are one foot (30cm) apart.
