With my newly-acquired understanding (previous photo), I naturally felt compelled to demonstrate my
appreciation for the Great Mystery. In this higher level of consciousness it was revealed to me that
a handstand was the ultimate demonstration of reverence (at least on this hike). Although my entire
being is united psychically with the rock, only my hands are in physical contact with it.
Posture is important: note how my butt points to the heavens and my body's angle mimics the
lines of the fin in the background---examples of "oneness." This is dangerous and should be
attempted only by those who have trained long and hard for it: I studied with the disciple
known as "Grasshopper." Children should not attempt this level of meditation.
Throughout this period of revelation, Joe Tripod's posture stayed the same: upright and rigid.
