This is one of three or four hangars built during WW2 that are still standing at Wendover Field, the airport in Wendover. During World War 2, Wendover became a large military training area for bomber flight crews. The place was really hopping in those days, though much of its work was secret.
The flight line here is the only one of its era that is intact, so it has been used as a set in a few modern-day movies. The flight line is to the right, behind the fence, and the hangar doors face in that direction. I've read that there are plans to restore these buildings to form a museum of sorts.
The blue windows are the product of the hangar's indoor lights. The coloring of the parking lot was produced by sodium vapor lights. Joe Tripod, my assistant in things photographic, cast a giant shadow here.
Another photo shows the same scene during the day.
