At the end of the salt flats access road the BLU WGN World Land Speed Record Team was stopped cold
by the "lake" that covered the salt. It was not a pretty sight. Here BLU WGN sits at the water's
edge as I wade into the water to touch the salt and take few pictures. Joe Tripod stands silently,
looking on. This shot shows how easy it is to drive onto the salt from the dark asphalt above.
