The late afternoon sun created a nice shadow on an inhospitable landscape.
In the distance are the Newfoundland Mountains, reflected in the temporary
lake on the salt flats. Next to the big shadows at left is my car.

In the purplish area just above the beige mud is a series of white spots running roughly horizontally.
They are most visible toward the right edge of the scene. Those spots represent the western fence line
