TV tuned to the Safeway Channel

Renton, Washington


Safeway is the name of a large chain of grocery stores. I did most of my grocery shopping at Safeway until I discovered WinCo Foods. Safeway's advertising slogan used to be "Everything you want in a store---and a little bit more!" This television was sitting in the Safeway parking lot one day.

I went over that thing with a magnifying glass and could not find "Benton Harbor" imprinted anywhere.

We have them here in the East, too, but I've never seen a TV in one of their parking lots. You sure this isn't a Kmart blue-light special?
