This downward director is a little-known tool used at PBase server sites to help
surfers "get down," as it were. No doubt you have encountered long pages in someone's
site: a gallery page that contains a zillion thumbnail images or an image page that
is festooned with comments up the wazoo. Getting to the bottom of these pages is a
lot of work, often requiring extra mouse action/pressure to get the scrolling done.
Surfers who do this often are prone to Carpal Downward Syndrome (it's too awful to
describe here). The downward director works in the same manner as power steering,
giving surfers a boost to their scrolling effort. In development is an upward director.
