Slippery

Floating Island Mud Flats, Utah

Normal walking caused this type of deformation to the salt crust and mud. Several times I almost fell down when
my boot slipped on the slippery surface. Later in the year it might be drier and therefore easier to walk on.

The salt crust was dry (it broke into pieces when stressed), but the clay mud was moist.

It looks dry on the surface. At least you didn't sink in.
