This late afternoon shot looks south at a motionless Union Pacific Railroad garbage train on the siding at 15th Street NW in Auburn. The long train is bound for Seattle, having traveled from Arlington, Oregon (site of a huge landfill). Beyond the containers are about twenty covered gondolas.

Fifteen minutes earlier I was south of here, at the grade crossing of West Main Street. This long train passed me there, pulled onto this siding, and stopped. That told me a meet was imminent, so I cycled north on the Interurban Trail to get a better view of the train during the meet. That led me here. The Interurban Trail is about 25 feet to the right.

After hanging around for about five minutes with no sign of a passing train, I rode farther north to see the locomotives, again using the Interurban Trail. Photos 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 were taken farther north.
