On trips to Utah I have stopped at the Simco Road grade crossing to photograph trains. The grade crossing is five miles (8km) south of I-84 Idaho Exit 74.
This picture was taken during my first visit (2004). What caught my eye was the pile of tumbleweeds against the fence gate. The railroad spur has been disconnected from the Union Pacific main line at least since 2004. In 2010 I visited again and was shocked to discover that the building no longer exists---all that was left was the foundation.
