My former car sits on the shoulder of Airport Way. Military Road---which is visible under I-5 in the background---used to connect to Airport Way here, but it was vacated by the city so the railroads would have one less grade crossing to contend with. The street ascended a slope a little less steep than the berm visible here. I drove onto that street a few times to park near the tracks for train-watching.
