Truncated 737

BNSF's Balmer Yard in Seattle view map

A Next-Generation 737 fuselage, mounted on a special flatcar, sits in BNSF's Balmer Yard in the Interbay section of Seattle. It has been shipped here from Wichita, Kansas and is waiting to be hauled to Boeing's Renton plant, where it will undergo final assembly.

Note the handles on the dark removable protective covers on the windshields.

Nice photo. Unlike Jason, I love flying. Gets me to Fla. in about 2 & 1/2 hours compared to driving about 20 hours. Not to mention that most states frown on drinking wine and working crossword puzzles while you're driving.

This reminds me of a few Eastern Air Lines flights. Right down to the removable windscreens...
Should it reassure me that my airplane prefers to travel by train?
